ProAutomated is looking for Field Electrical Engineers for startup and troubleshooting applications of lighting control systems. The Field Engineer's primarily responsibilities will include working with electricians to audit the installation of the system, working with customers to ensure properly specified system functionality, programming the system using standard vendor specific software packages, and commissioning the system which includes testing all functionality. The Field Engineer will primarily service a region of the country with startup, commissioning, and technical support on lighting control system applications. The Field Engineer will travel about 50% of the time to areas outside of their immediate service region.

The successful candidate will be able to develop, implement, and maintain an overall facilities and process plan to manufacture parts and structures at high rates, with limited defects at a competitive cost. Experience with modeling and simulation and the principles of six sigma (DMAIC) and lean manufacturing to develop process solutions is desired. The individual should be capable of deploying technology and innovative thinking to continually improve the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Utilize LEAN and SIX SIGMA techniques to increase efficiency, increase throughput, and reduce waste
• Utilize advanced engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to analyze and design manufacturing facilities
• Develop optimal process designs that efficiently utilize resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products

Preferred Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate mastery of Industrial Engineering concepts for optimizing manufacturing processes have experience with modeling and simulation, implementing Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma in a high-volume production system and have a background optimizing facility layouts. Experience with composites manufacturing is highly desired.
Education and Experience: Bachelor, Masters, or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or similar field with at least 5 years of industrial engineering work experience. Aircraft, aerospace, or defense industry experience preferred. The individual should have strong knowledge of industrial engineering software tools, methods, and trends.
