Job description: Provide Administrative Services to a variety of clients, mostly small businesses but also some individuals. Services cover a wide range of administrative tasks including but not limited
to travel arrangements, document formatting, bookkeeping and customer service. Some services are provided virtually, and others are provided onsite for local Bay Area businesses.
Job details: Hours are flexible and vary depending on workload. An estimated beginning workload is 2-4 hours per day.. Except where onsite services are provided, the contractor is free to work from a home office or other desired location, and work flexible hours. Compensation is $15/hr and up - the pay structure will be explained during the interview process.

I am an author/speaker/thinker/whiner/media maven/entrepreneur/digital doctor/tweeter/poster/founder/fruitcake and now I need some serious help with my growing company. I am the founder, over the past eighteen years, of two other highly successful companies. I sold the first and departed from the second to recreate myself around my original passion for media and communication and have actually begun to succeed at it. I can no longer do everything that needs doing if I'm going to succeed at the scale I want to, and so it's time for me to find someone who's as fantastically capable at getting things done as I like to think I am at content creation, sales, and entrepreneurial opportunity exploitation.
So that means I'm looking for someone who is:
- Terrifically computer and Internet-literate
- Remarkably happy when figuring out all the details an overarching plan needs to succeed, and then executing and guiding every one of those steps through to completion
- Totally and utterly trustworthy
- Capable of independent thought and initiative but happiest when making things happen
- Fearless at trying things you haven't done before
- Very happy working unsupervised for extended periods of time
- Skilled at filling in the blank spaces or ideas in an overall plan
- Capable of working from home if/when necessary
- Capable of busting your ass during crunch times

- Flexible (at least initially) as to hours worked, mostly in quantity but occasionally as to specific hours of the day.
I need execution help -- getting web pages up, following up indications of interest in my services, managing calendars, working with event and venue planners, making travel arrangements, investigating interesting situations, AND IMPORTANTLY, helping me manage personal business and investments, even possibly handling some helpful errands from time to time, talking with friends and clients, and in general being a more organized, more detail-oriented version of me.
I can either have you working out of your home/home office (preferable in the beginning, but I wouldn't lose a great candidate over it) or with me in my temporary office space in Denver (which I'll be in until August, when I expect to move to offices in the north end of Lakewood.)
I'm a good guy to work for, I think, as long as you can help me do all the things I can't.
I am not very hung up on experience; I'm way, way more hung up on intellect, personality, and ability to manage detail and get things done without me specifying every step every time. I'm good with males, females, people right out of college, people who didn't go to college, old people, young people, middle aged people, black, white, yellow, red, and green people, disabled people, abled people...pretty much anyone who's talented. I do however discriminate against dumb people, mean people, irritating people, and people who don't like kids, ice hockey, Canadians, and motorcycles. And beer.
I want someone to work for me on a contract hourly basis at the beginning, with the possibility of creating a permanent part-time and quite possibly full-time position over the next six to twelve months. I don't even really care if you're not from the Denver area if you can prove to me that we can get everything done without your physical presence.
Great things have begun to happen in my business world again, and I need a highly competent partner-in-crime to make it all happen. It can be a great way for a young, talented person to learn things and get great experience and a little wisdom or a great job for a parent who wants to work odd hours or....probably just about anyone who's good at what I need.
