Responsibilities
Your job as the Customer Support Specialist will be to help guide our customers through the 8 Factors product experience. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and implementation of the customer service department. As the primary point of communication for our customers, you will handle all technical, sales, and customer support issues. Fast and effective communication and troubleshooting skills are a must. Project management skills are also required as you will work strategically to enhance our product's user experience via interdepartmental collaboration, primarily with marketing and product development. Lastly, since you will nurture a responsive customer environment and help set customer service priorities for our company, we hope that you are a compassionate listener!

Duties
Own all things Customer Support (Sales, Tech/Product, Billing)
Deliver exceptional pre and post sales customer service around 8 Factors' product offering.
Interact with customers through multiple channels simultaneously as part of a customer-facing role. (Ex: Email, in-person at events, on our user network, etc.)
Understand the 8 Factors ecosystem and be able to communicate technical aspects of our products in non-technical terms.
Understand and convey our vision, mission, and values to our customers.
Lead and/or participate in interdepartmental development projects.
Requirements
Minimum 1+ years of customer support experience at a tech company, preferably E-commerce.
Previous people-facing roles where the emphasis has been on quality of service.
Project Management and organizational skills.
Enthusiasm and passion for everything you do.
Experience in any of the following areas will greatly contribute to your success in this role: Retail, Sales, Teaching, IT, Entrepreneurs and Business Owners, Hospitality, Product Specialist, Promotions.

We are a small (we look much bigger than we are), growing, profitable, software company looking for someone to fill a VERY unique position. Here's what's so unique...
DESCRIPTION:
- We need someone that knows Crystal Reports really well (a minimum 7 know
ledge on a scale of 1-10; we would prefer an 8 our higher).
- We manufacture/sell add-ons for Crystal Reports. The job entails supporting customers who have questions related to our software as well as some Crystal Reports questions. The more you know Crystal Reports, the easier it will be to answer many of the questions.
- Our software is very stable, so we do not get tons of help desk tickets. At the most, we get 10 new tickets a day, and it's usually more like 5 tickets. We have customers all over the world though, so we get tickets 24x7. We answer all tickets within 15 minutes opened between 9am to midnight 7 days a week. From midnight to 9am, we answer "critical" tickets, what we refer to "production down". We get 2 of these type tickets a month, at the most. Again, our products are REALLY stable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be currently UNemployed. This is NOT a "side" job.
- Solid knowledge of Crystal Reports (including formulas and subreports). You are confident in your skills and you know more than most when it comes to Crystal Reports.
- Again, you really, really, really need to know Crystal Reports! You will be tested on your knowledge.
- Good knowledge of SQL/ODBC/DSNs (if you are a 7 or better with Crystal, it is assumed you have this kind of knowledge)
- You will need to be "on call" 7 days a week (but it's a loose on call). The help desk system will send a text message and an email to you for any tickets opened between 9am and midnight. You are expected to respond to tickets immediately between 9am and 5pm, but in the evenings you have a 2 hour window to reply. For "critical" tickets, you will need to respond to those immediately.
- You will need to be able to answer support calls (maybe 3 per day) between 9am and 5pm most of the time. If you leave for lunch or go to gym or go to pick up the kids, you can let it go to voicemail. Just "try" to answer when possible. But we prefer customers open tickets and schedule a time for us to call them anyway.
- Note: If you need a day, evening, or weekend off-call, no problem. Just let us know and we will cover it.
- Important: You must have a QUIET work environment when calling and talking to customers. No kids talking/screaming in the background, no TV, no dogs barking. This is a 1 strike policy. We will do random support tests and if anything like this is heard or reported from a customer, you will be fired. 1 strike --- no second chances.
- You must have GREAT English and communication skills

- There is no other "busy" work for you to do when you are not supporting customers (other than learn our Crystal Reports-based products so you can answer questions). And if you want to work on creating more KnowledgeBase articles on our website so your providing of support is easier, you may do so.
- And a unique entrepreneurial opportunity...
ENTREPRENEURIAL OPPORTUNITY:
- We make 99% of our money from selling Crystal Reports add-ons, but we started off being a Crystal Reports training and consulting company (with a great Crystal Reports domain). We have a website that gets in really great leads from consulting and training.
- We are not currently doing much with the site, but we still get in really good leads (leads that would by $95-$150/hour for Crystal Reports support). And onsite training leads that would pay $1500+/day for an onsite class.
- We would like to give the person we hire to provide support the opportunity to grow the Crystal Reports website and kind of make it their own. We will retain ownership of the domain, but you are welcome to modify the site and work the Crystal Reports leads that come in. You can even set your own rates. If you want to hire other consultants, you can work that angle, too. We simply do not have the time to chase this business anymore. In exchange for this, we would take a 33% cut of whatever you make from the website. In other words, if you decide to do remote consulting for $100/hour, we'll get $33/hour from that.
- Note: If you modify the website, we will agree to remove ANY work you did on the website should you decide not to pursue this arrangement.We agree to this so you're not worried about you doing something great on the site and we take over. Like we said, this is a really unique opportunity.
- Note: We will cover support during times you're working with customers
