The "Project Coordinator" for Boston Strategic Partners, Inc. (BSP) is a support position for the company and requires diligence and efficiency. The Project Coordinator should provide clear, timely written and verbal communications. The Project Coordinator will report to various project teams and the company leadership. BSP consulting engagements could at times run in parallel; the position therefore requires the ability to support simultaneous projects and a relentless eye for accuracy.
What You Will Do: Coordinate Primary Market Research
Liaise between BSP professionals, recruiting partners, and recruits (interviewees) for market research engagements: e-calendar management for scheduling of interviews, issuing reminders over email/phone, emailing pre-wire/pre-read materials, monitoring quotas, assembling honorarium payment lists, following up on or re-directing questions from respondents; secretarial, CRM, events planning, or recruiting experience a plus
Transcribe and/or summarize market research interviews accurately, capturing medical and/or business terminology
What You Will Do: Support Analyses and Presentations (Deliverables)
Assemble supporting data (e.g., from Excel) and create diagrams within PowerPoint to communicate clear, complete narratives of findings and downstream recommendations
Assist in QA/proofreading of internal documents, client deliverables, and public-facing materials (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, PDF, online surveys, email templates, hardcopy correspondence)
Conduct secondary research including competitive assessment/landscaping, data aggregation/grouping, summarization and depiction of findings in PowerPoint and Word; experience with PubMed, NIH, LexisNexis, EBSCO, SEC filings/annual reports, syndicated reports, and insurance claims strongly preferred
What is Required of You:
Candidate will be required to work in a non-co-located environment (i.e., you will primarily be working from home with team members located in different cities); travel as necessary
Candidate shall have access to both telecom/voice and internet/data connectivity
Candidate shall demonstrate proficiency in English with focus on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure; experience in writing or copyediting for print or broadcast preferred; the ability to communicate in foreign languages at the business level is a plus
Because candidate will be required to recruit or conduct interviews over the phone, customer service /retail/call center and public speaking experience are preferred
Candidate shall respond to emails and calls within 3 hours during the standard work day
Candidate shall be available to stagger work hours, on occasion work on evenings and weekends
Candidate will be required to sign non-compete and non-disclosure agreements as part of the work contract

Experience with computerized practice management software is very helpful, and with GatewayEDI or similar clearinghouses strongly preferred. Some knowledge of electronic medical records helpful. We have gone paperless, the future of medicine. All billings done electronically and no statements to insurances need to be printed.
Very detail-oriented, with excellent understanding of denials, appeals, EOBs and generating reports, as well as CPT and ICD-9 codes, insurance verifications, authorizations and claims resubmissions.
Strong leadership qualities, proven ability to take initiative and follow through consistently. Multi-tasking and strong organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, effective problem-solver and willing team player.
Prefer background with ophthalmology practice and several years' billing experience, however will consider 1-2 years with strong references.
